For many DeLorean owners, winter storage time is drawing near. There are some "best practices" to follow if you're putting your car away for the season.
• When was the last time you changed your oil? Changing the oil warm and just before storage removes contaminants that can settle in the oil pan over the winter.
• When did you last treat the leather in the car? Depending on the environment, it's not uncommon to see mold grow on the interior components. A good pre-storage treatment and monitoring over storage is a good idea.
• Drain the fuel or no? For most, we suggest adding a fuel stabilizer in the correct mix, circulating by running the engine, and then draining as much as possible.
